I like this particular site, not becuase I have any links to it, purely because it is trying to do something cultural and exciting that will promote regions of Scotland to other regions within the country, but also promote Scotland to the rest of the world as a great holiday destination.

www.sit1.tv (not sit 1 or sit1 tv as many call it) is in the process of finding its first 5 presenters at the moment, and you can visit the site and vote online. I managed to speak so someone involved, and they have some fantastic ideas for the development of the website.

They want to create something that has professional quality video from all areas of the country, as well as semi pro videos from anyone who has something of interest to say.

I can seriously see visit scotland getting involved, as imagine the real benefit in being able to look at a romantic holiday destination in Scotland before you book. You can even plan a tour of the Scottish Whisky Trail, try to find the loch ness monster, or have a look at Princes Street in Edinburgh and look up at Edinburgh Castle.

It would have a lot more benefit to Scotland the country than a trashy youtube type site, and I really urge you to have a look whether you are from here or not.

I will post an update when the site is properly up and running, and Scotland has its own internet TV station promoting the country online.
